Apollo names Dr. Madhu Sasidhar as President & CEO of hospitals division

Today, Apollo, a globally recognized healthcare provider, announced the appointment of Dr. Madhu Sasidhar as President of its hospital division.
In his new role, Dr. Madhu will lead Apollo's hospital business, prioritizing the delivery of exceptional clinical outcomes and enhancing patient care and experience.
With a background at Cleveland Clinic, where he served as President of Cleveland Clinic Tradition Hospital, Dr. Madhu brings extensive experience in healthcare leadership. He is a practicing physician with board certifications in internal medicine, pulmonary, and critical care medicine. Additionally, Dr. Madhu is an accomplished author and has made significant contributions to medical literature.
Dr. Madhu's expertise extends beyond medicine; he is also proficient in programming and holds a patent for a technology he developed. He received his medical education at JIPMER, Pondicherry, and pursued further studies and fellowships in the United States. He also holds a Global Executive Masters in Business Administration from INSEAD, France.
Dr. Prathap Chandra Reddy, Founder Chairman of Apollo Hospitals Group, expressed his confidence in Dr. Madhu's abilities, highlighting his global experience and multidimensional skill set. Dr. Madhu shared his excitement about joining Apollo and expressed his commitment to advancing the organization's vision under the leadership of Dr. Prathap Reddy and Ms. Suneeta Reddy.
Dr. Madhu's appointment marks a planned transition following his tenure as Chief Strategy Officer, starting in October 2023. As part of this transition, Dr. K Hari Prasad, the outgoing President of Apollo Hospitals, will be retiring after 27 years of distinguished service.
The board acknowledges Dr. Hari Prasad's significant contributions to Apollo over his esteemed career.
Shares of Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Limited closed at Rs. 6116.35 on the BSE, reflecting investor confidence in the organization's leadership transition.
